Magical Mermaids & Oceans Of Joy Fish Tank Inspired Card with Vanessa

Hey everyone! Vanessa here with a card inspired by a fish tank. I love all the little fish from the Magical Mermaids and Oceans of Joy sets and wanted to make another card with them. This is what I came up with for today.

I inked the front of a white card base using various blue inks with an ink blending tool. Then I applied tiny water droplets to create "bubbles". Now I adhered a white piece of cardstock to the bottom and the top of the card to make the fish tank.

After I had stamped the images onto white cardstock, I colored them with Copics, die-cut them with the matching dies and adhered them to the inked portion. Finally, I stamped the sentiment.

I don't think I will have enough of these stamps soon :) They are just too much fun to play with! Thanks for stopping by today!

Stars & Stripes Patriotic 4th Of July Card with Amy

Hello everybody! Amy here with a card using the wonderful Stars & Stripes stamp set and coordinating dies. I used this set to make a Fourth of July card, but you can also use some of the images and sentiments for birthday cards as well as cards for the super heroes in your life.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Stars & Stripes Patriotic 4th Of July Card by Amy Yang

To begin, I knew I wanted to do some easy coloring with Zig Real Color Brush Markers, so I stamped the images on watercolor paper with Black Versafine ink. Then, I applied clear embossing powder over it, and set it with a heat gun. This helped me color inside the lines, and it also added a nice raised (and shiny) texture to the outlines of the images. I tried to capture that in the photo below.

Before adhering the images to the card front, I stamped the sentiment that is included in the set. To add interest and dimension to the card, I used foam tape to adhere the images (some with one layer and others with two) to the card front. To finish, I added some stars sequins.

I hope you like today's card. This design can be used with just about any stamp set. It's really simple to do, and fun to make! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Oceans Of Joy Birthday Card Duo with Nancy

Hey everyone, Nancy here today with a birthday card using the underwater fun Oceans of Joy stampset, and coordinating dies. This set is so very versatile and the addition of a bouquet of balloons makes it perfect for all of those birthday cards I make year after year.

I started the card by using Distress Ink in Broken China on watercolor paper to create the wash of aqua color on the front of the card. Next, I cut out three windows and added a sentiment to the upper right hand corner.

All of the stamped images were colored with Copic markers and tucked behind the windows in peek-a-boo effect. A few scattered sequins completes this ocean of birthdays card.

Here’s a peek at a second card that I created using the leftover images I colored from the Oceans of Joy stamp set. I based this one on a very subtle bubble background in the center. I used all of the bubble stamps with very light grey ink to fill in the circular window. A few sequins and all of the leftover colored images complete the card!

Next time you need a few under the sea cards, grab Oceans of Joy and color your heart out!

Perfect Popsicles Have A Sweet Day Shaker Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I'm using the Perfect Popsicles stamp set to create a summery shaker card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Perfect Popsicles Sherbert Colored Shaker Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card I first stamped out a couple of popsicles from the stamp set with some yellow and orange inks. I then die cut them out using the coordinating dies and then proceeded to stamp the sticks. I find this a little easier so you get it lined up perfectly.

Next up I used a stitched circle die to cut out a circle from this piece of patterned paper from Lawn Fawn. I then doubled up my foam tape and put it all on the back of the die cut panel, making sure to not leave any gaps around the circle so my sequins could move freely. I then filled my shaker panel with sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and then took off the foam tape and adhered a piece of white cardstock behind it.

Next up I adhered the entire panel onto a card base and then adhered my popsicles with foam tape on the right hand side of my card. I used the 'Have A Sweet Day' sentiment from the same Perfect Popsicles stamp set and white heat embossed it onto some black cardstock. I then also adhered that with foam tape onto my card to finish it off.

A super simple card for today, but it completely reminds me of Summer and it's super fun with all that sequin goodness! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you were inspired and enjoyed my card for today.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Michelle Short

I'm so excited to welcome Michelle Short to the blog today as our special guest. She has some gorgeous cards that you are going to just love!

Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be guest designing with Sunny Studio today. I have two underwater themed cards to share with you - one featuring the Oceans Of Joy set and one featuring the Magical Mermaids set. I had so much fun creating these cards!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Oceans Of Joy and Magical Mermaids Guest Designer Spotlight Cards by Michelle Short

My first card uses the adorable Oceans of Joy stamps, the coordinating dies, and the Stitched Scallop dies. I started off by stamping the images from the Oceans of Joy set on to some white cardstock, using black ink. They were coloured with Copic Markers and then cut out using the Oceans of Joy dies.

I made a background for my scene with Distress Oxide ink and water and then stamped the sentiment at the top. I cut some waves using the Stitched Scallop dies from vellum, varying the height of them and using the two sizes of scallops. I assembled my scene and then popped my critters in to the waves with a combination of foam tape and tape runner. To finish off, I added Glossy Accents to the balloons.

Michelle created a video to go along with this card that you can view HERE.

My second card uses the beautiful Magical Mermaids set. I decided to keep my card really simple and use just one of the mermaids from the set, along with a sentiment. I stamped the mermaid and the sentiment on to white cardstock and then coloured the background first, with Copic Markers. The mermaid was then coloured with Copic Markers too, adding dots of the glitter to her tail, top and crown. I added a sheet of Doodlebug patterned paper to the front of an A2 card base and then added the image panel on top. To finish off, I added a few sequins.

Michelle created a speed color video to go along with this card that you can view HERE.

A big thank you goes to Mendi and her team for having me guest with them today. I loved creating these cards with the super cute stamps. Thank you so much for stopping by today, happy crafting!

A Bird's Life Birdhouse Shaker Card with Lexa

Hello everyone! Lexa here with a super fun and sunny shaker card starring the adorable A Bird's Life Stamp and the coordinating dies. All the elements in this set are so sweet – with the little birdies and the bird houses. There are so many possibilities to use this set, and for this card, instead of hanging the tiny houses I used the wooden posts to set them on.

I started my card with some blending of Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey and Mustard Seed Distress Inks to create a gradation that looks like a sunset sky. As for the background of my shaker window, I use some patterned paper that looks like a blue sky and a green bush. Mixed yellow sequins are a perfect pair for the color scheme I use. I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. I die cut them all together with the coordinating dies after I finished with the coloring. I love the perfect thin white lines around the images. It works like magic!

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of fishtail banner and adhered it with some foam tape. I just bought a couple of Nuvo Drops and they are so pretty. They look like enamel dots once they settled out. The yellow dots on this card are using the Nuvo Drops.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today. I hope you have a great day.

Heartfelt Wishes Birthday Candle Wishes Card with Vanessa

Hello fellow stampers! Vanessa here with a birthday card using Heartfelt Wishes. This set may be small, but it is amazingly versatile nevertheless! I didn't want to add anything else and wanted to make it shine on its own. Here comes what I made with it:

Sunny Studio Stamps: Heartfelt Wishes Birthday Candle Wishes Card by Vanessa Menhorn

First, I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper slightly smaller than my card base. Then I stamped and heat-embossed the words for my sentiment. Now I masked off stripes over the words and applied various inks with an ink blending tool. After I had removed the masks, I adhered the panel to the card.

I stamped the three candles onto cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them with the Heartfelt Wishes Candle die. Finally, I adhered the images with foam tape and finished the card off with sequins.

A wonderful little set, don't you think? Thank you for stopping by today!
